I used to get so frustrated at not being able to find lamps I liked the looks of. It took me a ridiculously long time to realize that I could update a lamp myself or DIY a lampshade. Easy Churro Cheesecake Bars

I have become such a dessert junkie in the past few years, especially if I'm eating out. To be honest, I enjoy making desserts at home more than our actual meals. And I didn't realize it until recently, but certain dessert foods are comfort foods to me. It's hard to find good cheesecake in New Zealand, so it's something we need to make ourselves. Churros are another comfort treat and while they can be found here, they aren't super common. It was only a matter of time before we attempted to put ... Read More

Inspiring Fall Centerpieces

It's no secret that fall is my absolute favourite season of the year. I'm fully and unashamedly on Team #Pumpkineverything and don't see that ever changing. It's a bit weird for me right now, though--while the Northern Hemisphere is getting fully into the fall craze, we're inching ever closer to spring in New Zealand. My head keeps telling me that it's about time for spring flowers to start peeking through while my heart is saying fall colours and apple cider are just around the corner. I'm ... Read More

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Mirror DIY

Madeline is the most Harry Potter crazy of all my kids and she's going full on with a Harry Potter themed bedroom. She has the Sorting Hat Weaving I made a few years back, a Hogwarts painting I did at a painting studio in Illinois, her Hufflepuff banner, and all sorts of bits and pieces. She's turning the nook with her desk into her Harry Potter space and I'm way more than happy to help her along. I made this crazy easy Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Mirror DIY as a fun addition to her ... Read More
