Savory Pumpkin Soup

Savory Pumpkin Soup

When I was growing up, pumpkin was pretty much just pumpkin pie to me, which I have never overly cared for (I know!). In New Zealand, though, I was introduced to pumpkin in a whole new way. It's a regular component of roast meals. Pumpkin is served on its own or with mixed veg. My favorite, though, was being introduced to pumpkin soup. It was creamy and savory and I just couldn't get enough! I was so in love with it that we had pumpkin soup as a course at our wedding. We've tried a fair number ... Read More

Pumpkin Everything Shirt

Hi. I'm Albion and I love fall and pumpkins. Pumpkins are my favorite. September hits and I am ready for pumpkin everything. I desperately needed a way to share my love of all things pumpkin--you know, so when a stranger sees me at the grocery store, she can look at me and say to herself "That woman is a pumpkin lover!". This is an important thing for people to know about me. It made sense to make a Pumpkin Everything Shirt and I'm super tickled with how it turned out! This post contains ... Read More

September Stitch Fix

September Stitch Fix

There are few things I love more than the transition from summer to fall. I love the colors, the cooler temps that lead to layering, the sheer coziness of clothes...all of it. Stitch Fix must have read my mind with my latest box. My stylist sent me fantastic transitional pieces and I had a lot of fun trying them on. Here's something you may not know about me--I'm a total bag junky. I love purses and pouches and totes. I couldn't tell you how many I have, but I use them all. I've been with ... Read More

Rustic Glam Fall Wreath

Rustic Glam Fall Wreath

Fall always feels like the shortest season to me, which is really sad since it's my favorite. I love the colors, sparkle, and light of autumn and felt the urge to create a wreath to reflect that, along with the more rustic look that I've always associated with the season. I first shared this Rustic Glam Fall Wreath on My Craftily Ever After and now it's come home. For this project, you will need: 18" grapevine wreath 10" smoothfoam wreath brown craft paint gold craft ... Read More

Fall Front Door Decor

If it could just stay fall all the time, I'd be quite content. Every year around the beginning of August, I start eyeing our fall decor. Scott lets me get away with a lot, but the idea of putting out our decorations in August gets a very firm no from him. This year, though, I managed to start putting out some decorations at the beginning of the school year at the end of August because we were cleaning the garage and it just cluttered it up. It did. Really. I love the colors of fall--the ... Read More
