I've probably only mentioned how much I'm enjoying puttering around the house with small projects a few hundred times now. I love creating my happy corners and seeing how spaces are coming together. I'm getting used to the different craft supplies that are available to me here, too. There's a large wood blank section at our local craft store and I picked up a mirror that was on sale without knowing exactly what I was going to do with it. When Alice needed a little something extra for her room, I ... Read More

Easy Painted Jar Update

Get Back into the Crafting Groove with Decoupage

Before we left the States, my blog was doing really well. I was working with brands and people I loved, I was getting regular job offers, and, dare I say it, was earning actual money. I packed up my craft room knowing that I would see my supplies again in a few months and had the reassurances that nothing would change. Life ... Read More
Give Thanks Framed Art
I love the idea of seasonal artwork and have started creating my own. I've never really decorated for Thanksgiving specifically and decided it was time to change that. I wanted something simple and came up with this Give Thanks Framed Art. I used a frame I picked up on sale, Wrap It Up Statement Floral, Stencil-Masks in Holiday Shapes and Dear Ruby Alpha, Mod Podge, green paint, and a bit of glitter. I pulled out the paper insert from the frame and used that as my canvas. I covered ... Read More
Map Display Board
I have a wee bit of an obsession with maps. There's something special about being able to see the world and smaller parts laid out on a piece of paper. I first shared this project on Hazel & Ruby's Blog. thick posterboard or piece of cardboard Mod Podge clothes pins baker's twine Hazel & Ruby DIY Decor Tape in Wooden Grain Hazel & Ruby Wrap it Up, ...
