Purple Rain Tote Bag

Purple Rain Tote Bag

Like many of us, I've been a bit at a loss with losing not only favorite musicians, but what feels like a lot of them at once. I was surprised at how upset I was when Prince died. I hadn't realized just how much his music meant to me. He felt like one of those talents who would just always be there. When my friend Jennifer asked if there was any interest in a Musician Tribute Blog Hop, I jumped on it immediately. I've had different ideas floating around my head for different musicians, but I ... Best Dad Picture Frame

Best Dad Picture Frame

Craft Lightning is back and this month we're making Father's Day crafts! To be honest, when I first saw the theme, I was wondering what on earth I could make. Scott and I aren't overly sappy people when it comes to these days. As I was rummaging through my craft room for ideas, I got to thinking about all of the things he's done for us and immediately got hugely sappy, much to my chagrin. I don't talk about it much, but my pregnancies have all been high risk and three out of four of the girls ... Read More

Snowflake Coasters

Snowflake Coasters

This post contains sponsored content and affiliate links. I'm so excited to be participating in a Secret Santa Gift Exchange put together by Cricut. A group of us were all given another blogger to create for and we had to use our Cricut Explore to make a gift. I really enjoyed snooping around Michelle of 4 Men 1 Lady's blog and I hope she enjoys these Snowflake Coasters that I created for her! You will need: cork coasters Cricut Explore vinyl two colors ... Read More

Golden Stenciled Bedroom Wall

Golden Stenciled Bedroom Wall

There are few things I enjoy more than watching a boring room become something amazing. As you know, we've been puttering away with our house, trying to make it a cheerful home. We started chopping away at our basement bedroom last year and I'm ready to show you the latest update. I simply cannot get enough gold right now and am loving using it as a feature wall color (remember Madeline's gold striped wall?!), so it should surprise no one that I've gone back to my tried and true Modern Masters ... Stenciled Mason Jar

Stenciled Mason Jar

I use mason jars for everything. I use them for storage, vases, cups, and straight up decorations. Today I've joined up with some of my friends at Hazel & Ruby to show you some fun ways to use their products with mason jars in home decor. I created a Stenciled Mason Jar with the Stencil-Mask in Chevron Pattern, a bit of chalky paint, and some glimmer mist. The first thing I did was place the chevron stencil mask on the jar. These masks are so fantastic. They stick wherever you ... Read More

Stencil-Topped Bookshelf

Stencil-Topped Bookshelf

We've been big into making our house lighter, brighter, and happier. We had a dark brown bookshelf that was functional, but needed cheering up, especially since it was going in Madeline's room. I first shared my Stencil-Topped Bookshelf on Hazel and Ruby's blog, and I'm happy to be able to share it here. I used: Hazel and Ruby Wrap it Up, Full of Heart Hazel and Ruby Stencil-Mask, Chalk Art Alpha Hazel and Ruby Stencil-Mask, Everyday Words Hazel and Ruby Stencil-Mask, Celebrate ... Read More
